Donation to AFPL

For the 2025 Schueberfouer, the City and wine producer Bernard-Massard joined forces again to bring out a new "special vintage" with labels featuring the Schueberfouer design by Sophie Ensel. For each bottle sold, Bernard-Massard had pledged to donate €0.50 to charity.

This year, the sum of €1,000 was presented to Association des Familles ayant un Proche atteint de Psychose au Luxembourg ASBL (ALAF) at a ceremony hosted by the College of the Mayor and Aldermen at City Hall, and attended by Mike Welter, representative of Bernard-Massard. AFPL was represented by Paule Hansen, treasurer and founding member of AFPL ASBL, and Yolanda Garcia, secretary.

AFPL – Association des Familles ayant un proche atteint de Psychose au Luxembourg

AFPL Luxembourg was founded in 2017 by family members who, through their daily efforts to support a loved one with psychosis, came to understand firsthand the many challenges involved. Faced with limited support and a lack of reliable information, the founders soon recognised the need to establish a space devoted to raising awareness and providing useful knowledge for families in similar situations.

Since its founding, the association has concentrated its efforts on fostering synergies between political and medical spheres, as well as structures already in place, with the aim of improving care for those affected. While it is neither a support group nor a professional institution, AFPL works through a variety of initiatives across multiple levels to strengthen dialogue, enhance education, and encourage mutual respect. Believing that real improvement requires teamwork, this association partners with all relevant actors to promote understanding and achieve concrete results.
