Exhibition at the Tramsmusée
In February 1875, the first horse-drawn tram departed from Luxembourg Central Station, marking the beginning of the history of public transport in Luxembourg. Since then, modes of transport have constantly evolved to keep pace with urban transformation and the city's needs.
A temporary exhibition dedicated to the history of public transport traces the evolution from the "Päerdstram" to today's tram, including the development of what will soon be a fully electric bus fleet. Richly documented, it also features photographs from the collections of the Luxembourg City Photothèque and audiovisual documents. The exhibition complements the museum's iconic exhibits, which include restored locomotives and buses, as well as numerous scale models.
Experts in the history of public transport will be on hand on 6 June to provide detailed information about the themes covered and to answer visitors' questions.

- Temporary exhibition running until Sunday, 21 June 2026,
