The Apéri'tours continue
Building on the neighbourhood meetings held in 2024, which provided valuable feedback, ideas and suggestions from residents, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen, together with representatives from the City's technical departments, once again visited the various districts of the capital in 2025.
During the tours, an initial set of core ideas was presented for each district. The initiatives were designed with and for residents, with a view to bolstering social cohesion, community spirit and local quality of life. They served as the basis for the second round of tours, which took on a hybrid format combining presentations and small-group sessions. The Mission: Prioriser ! (Mission: Prioritise!) workshops provided an important opportunity for residents and institutions to forge closer ties, with a view to preparing a draft action plan to rehabilitate the city's public spaces.
These events were also an opportunity to get involved:
- there was a registration area where residents could express their interest in playing a more active role in future participatory initiatives;
- ongoing and future urban development projects, as well as the suggestions that emerged from the Ideation Lab, were also be presented;
- participants got the chance to discover the photographs that were taken during the Photowalk, urban sketches, drawings that were produced as part of the Quartier-Maton project, and sound maps – i.e. audio recordings in which residents introduce their districts to the public.
By listening to residents and local stakeholders, the City has sought to ensure that future redevelopment and development projects are guided by the real needs and ideas of the people who live and spend time there, with the aim of enhancing quality of life for all.
