The Restoration of Works on Paper by the Artist Berthe BrincourThis talk explores the restoration of works on paper by the artist Berthe Brincour, at the intersection of scientific, technical and ethical approaches. Through a series of case studies, it highlights the importance of material analysis as a foundation for conservation and sheds light on the challenges posed by the fragility of paper.It also examines the ethical considerations involved in restoration and display: how far should intervention go, and how can the integrity of the artwork be preserved while ensuring its legibility?The talk will be held in French.
