What does a resilient democracy mean to you? How can Europe better protect what matters most to its citizens?
EUROPE DIRECT Luxembourg City, in collaboration with the European Commission Representation to Luxembourg and the European Documentation Centre of Differdange, invites you to take part in the Local Citizens' Panel: Protect What Matters, an interactive discussion bringing together residents from across Luxembourg to exchange ideas on the future of Europe.
During this participatory session, you will have the opportunity to discuss topics such as democratic resilience, security and solidarity, online safety, youth, sport and culture, and to share your views in a respectful and inclusive environment. No prior knowledge of the European Union is required, only your willingness to contribute your ideas and experiences.
Your contributions will help shape local recommendations, which will be shared on the Citizens’ Engagement Platform and feed into the wider European Debate on Democratic Resilience, thus influencing EU policymaking.
Selected ideas will also inspire a public mural in the City of Differdange, Luxembourg, as part of the Protect What Matters initiative, creating a lasting visual representation of citizens' voices.
