HandiTeam Connect

For the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, IMS Luxembourg, in cooperation with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Luxembourg, invites you to a thematic conference dedicated to the pilot project “HandiTeam Connect” promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in the mainstream workplace.

Participating organizations will discover how to:

• Give a voice to those directly affected by disability (people with disabilities, their close ones, and managers),
• Have their inclusion practices evaluated by their employees,
• Improve their overall performance (team engagement, working conditions, reduced absenteeism, etc.),

• Join a committed community in Luxembourg working toward better disability inclusion in the primary labor market.

Participants will leave with practical guidance on how to implement the pair-based method in their own organizations. Each pair consists of an employee with a disability - already working within the organization - and a team manager. Together, they meet five times to examine the disability inclusion practices currently in place within their shared organization. This innovative and structured method is one we aim to expand across Luxembourg to help everyone learn to "collaborate with our unique abilities."

Prior to the conference, participants will have the option to follow a guided visit of Europa Experience, an interactive space for everyone to explore the EU’s functioning in an innovative way.
