On Monday, 4 May 2026, an official delegation from the Austrian city of Wels, led by its mayor, Dr Andreas Rabl, was received at City Hall by the College of the Mayor and Aldermen, represented by Deputy Mayor Maurice Bauer and Alderwoman Corinne Cahen.

Discussions focused on integration policy, free public transport and best practices in digitalisation, as well as the challenges and opportunities presented by the use of artificial intelligence, both in the administration's internal processes and in the various services offered to citizens.

This exchange is part of wider efforts towards openness and cooperation at a European level in order to better meet the future challenges our cities are set to face.
