Introduction

The use of the City of Luxembourg's official logo is subject to a set of rules concerning its visual identity, which must be followed at all times. These rules are described on this page.

To ensure consistent use of the logo, we ask that you submit any request for use for prior approval by the Service communication et relations publiques (Communications and Public Relations Department) by emailingrelationspubliques@vdl.lu.

You must adhere to the graphic rules at all times.

Graphic rules

Different uses

Never reproduce or redraw the logo from a printout or the internet.
Use only the logo that is provided on this page.
Never invert the image (e.g. so the lion faces the other way) or alter the logo in any way whatsoever.
When the logo is printed in negative, it is inverted in white.
When the logo appears on an image or another illustration, make sure it is always placed on a uniform background.
When the logo appears on an image or another illustration, use the logo in its negative version: on a light background, use the black monochrome version; on a dark background, use the white monochrome version.

Prohibited uses of the logo

Exclusion zone

The logo must always be set in a clear space that distinguishes it from any other graphic, typographic or photographic element. The dimensions of this "exclusion zone" around the logo are determined by the height (x) of the letter L in the word LUXEMBOURG.
