Friday, 16 May 2025 saw the opening of the new Tennis Club Smash clubhouse at 18, Boulevard Paul Eyschen in Limpertsberg. In attendance at the event were members of the City of Luxembourg's College of the Mayor and Aldermen, Luxembourg Minister of Sport Georges Mischo, Luxembourg Tennis Federation President Claude Lamberty, and TC SMASH President Laurent Ley.

The City welcomes the opening of this new facility, which was designed to serve as the focal point for members' off-court social activities. It is the perfect spot for players to socialise, share a drink or a meal, or simply relax and unwind after a bout of vigorous exercise, in a warm, welcoming setting that promotes social cohesion through sport.

Tennis Club Smash was founded in 1971 by City of Luxembourg personnel who wanted a place where they could play tennis recreationally, in a friendly, laid-back environment. Today, the club's facilities – which are now open to the general public – include two recently renovated Pro-Clay courts, as well as a brand new clubhouse, which plays a central role in the life of the club. In the summer, the club offers private lessons for children, men and women, and members can use the facilities whenever they want. The club also organises a number of sporting and culinary events every year.
