Works on Rue de Strasbourg

As part of the redevelopment work on Rue de Strasbourg, plans are in place to carry out some preparatory work and then lay the final road surface on the section between Rue du Fort Wedell and Rue Adolphe Fischer. The work will take place in phases, firstly from 4 to 7 July 2025, and then from 12 to 13 July 2025. 

The following changes to traffic flow will apply for the duration of the work: 

Phase 1.1: Friday, 4 July 2025 (06:00) to Saturday, 5 July 2025 (06:00):

• Rue de Strasbourg (the section between Rue Adolphe Fischer and Rue du Commerce) and Rue Mil Neuf Cents (the section between Place de Strasbourg and Rue de Strasbourg) will be closed to all traffic and parking. Local residents who need to use their vehicles will be asked to park outside of the affected area, as they will not have access to their garages while the work is ongoing.

Phase 1.2: Saturday, 5 July 2025 (06:00) to Monday, 7 July 2025 (05:00):

• Rue de Strasbourg (the section between Rue Adolphe Fischer and Rue du Fort Wedell), Rue Mil Neuf Cents (the section between Place de Strasbourg and Rue de Strasbourg), Rue Adolphe Fischer (the sections between Rue de Strasbourg and no. 109 on Rue Adolphe Fischer and between Rue de Strasbourg and Place de Strasbourg), Rue Joseph Junck (the section between Rue du Fort Wedell and Rue de Reims), Rue du Fort Wedell (the section between Rue de Strasbourg and Rue d'Epernay) and Rue du Commerce (the section between Rue de Strasbourg and no. 19 on Rue du Commerce) will be closed to all traffic and parking. Local residents who need to use their vehicles will be asked to park outside of the affected area, as they will not have access to their garages while the work is ongoing.

• Rue de Strasbourg (the section between Rue des Etats-Unis and Rue Adolphe Fischer, and the section between Rue du Fort Wedell and Avenue de la Liberté) and Rue Adolphe Fischer (the section between Rue Adolphe Fischer and Rue de Hollerich) will be closed to all traffic except for local residents and deliveries.

• Rue du Commerce (the section between Rue de Strasbourg and Rue du Fort Wedell) will be closed to all traffic except for local residents, deliveries and for access to the Fort Wedell car park.

• Traffic on Rue de Reims will flow in the opposite direction to normal from Rue Joseph Junck towards and up until Rue d'Epernay.

Phase 2: Saturday, 12 July 2025 (06:00) to Sunday, 13 July 2025 (11:00):

• Rue de Strasbourg (the section between Rue Adolphe Fischer and Rue du Fort Wedell), Rue Mil Neuf Cents (the section between Place de Strasbourg and Rue de Strasbourg), Rue Adolphe Fischer (the sections between Rue de Strasbourg and no. 109 on Rue Adolphe Fischer and between Rue de Strasbourg and Place de Strasbourg), Rue Joseph Junck (the section between Rue du Fort Wedell and Rue de Reims), Rue du Fort Wedell (the section between Rue de Strasbourg and Rue d'Epernay) and Rue du Commerce (the section between Rue de Strasbourg and no. 19 on Rue du Commerce) will be closed to all traffic and parking.
