responsables des transports publics se sont réunis sur la Place de l’Europe

Public transport officials gathered on Place de l'Europe in front of the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works (Ministère de la Mobilité et des Travaux Publics) to take a symbolic photo bearing the central message of the National Day of Respect on Public transport: "Le respect, c'est simple comme bonjour" ("Respect is as easy as 1-2-3").

Under the aegis of the Minister of Mobility and Public Works, Yuriko Backes, and initially launched in 2023 by the CFL, this initiative is held every year on 3 May in collaboration with the Public Transport Administration, the City of Luxembourg, Luxtram and the TICE. It is accompanied by an outreach and communication campaign on public transport and on the social media accounts of the stakeholders involved.

The aim is to raise awareness among all public transport users of the importance of being respectful towards other passengers and public transport staff. This includes courteous behaviour, such as giving other passengers time and space to get on and off trains, buses or trams when boarding public transport. The initiative aims to promote harmonious and respectful interactions, creating a pleasant and safe experience for everyone. Respect, as a fundamental social value, requires constant collective commitment.
