The 2026 Servais Prize was awarded to Ian De Toffoli, a Luxembourgish author and associate artist with the Théâtres de la Ville, for his book Léa et la théorie des systèmes complexes (Léa, or the Theory of Complex Systems).

This award honours an outstanding career in more ways than one. Commissioned by the City Theatres of Luxembourg in 2022, Ian De Toffoli's play Léa et la théorie des systèmes complexes premiered at the Francophonies de Limoges festival before being presented at the Théâtre des Capucins. Published by Actes Sud in 2025, Léa et la théorie des systèmes complexes has earned acclaim beyond Luxembourg, helping to showcase Luxembourgish literature throughout the Francophone world.

The City pays tribute to Ian De Toffoli's remarkable career and to the enduring partnership he has enjoyed with the municipal theatres, particularly the Théâtre des Capucins, where he has been a regular contributor to theatrical and artistic productions. This distinction goes beyond recognising his work – it also highlights the richness and creativity of Luxembourg's literary and theatre scene.
