This latest issue of "ons stad" invites readers to travel back in time and discover the world of public transport in Luxembourg City, from its very beginnings to the present day. Read all about the first Paerdstram (horse-drawn tram), the introduction of the first electric tram, and the transition to buses, now the country's most efficient widespread form of transport. Alongside a wealth of historical documents, this issue of "ons stad" also features a behind-the-scenes look at the control centre – the nerve centre of the city's bus network – and a visit to the streetcar and bus museum.

In addition to photographs produced specially for "ons stad" by several contemporary photographers, this edition features a selection of documents and historical photographs from the collections housed at the Luxembourg City Photothèque and the Luxembourg City Archives, accompanied by our authors' insightful contributions.
