"Märeler Kiermes" (Merl District Fair)

The Merl neighbourhood fair will take place from Thursday, 14 to Tuesday, 19 May 2026, in Place Joseph Thorn. Local fairs and gatherings are a proud part of the nation's traditions and cultural heritage. In addition, the district fairs afford a warm, friendly atmosphere where people can get together, be they young or old, or new arrivals or long-time residents.

The fair will include a number of attractions for children, including one hook-a-duck stand, the "Dumbo Fly" ride, bumper cars and three catering establishments serving classic fairground treats.

  • Open hours: Every day from 14:00 to 20:00/ The food stands may open for service as of 12:00.
