Chimney sweeps and stove fitters received at City Hall
On Friday, 9 January 2026, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg received a group of chimney sweeps from the federation of technical engineers (Fédération du Génie Technique – FGT) at Luxembourg City Hall. The chimney sweeps – who are considered to bring good luck – took the opportunity to gift the painting "The Chimney Sweeper" by Philippe Lamesch to Mayor Lydie Polfer and to extend to the City their best wishes for 2026.
