On Monday, 8 June 2026, the nature activities unit of the Service Enseignement (Education Department) welcomed four classes of pupils from the QuattroPole cities – Metz, Saarbrücken, Trier and Luxembourg City – to the Haus vun der Natur (nature centre) for a day focused on nature and discovery.

After being grouped into teams so they could meet peers from other cities, the children started the day with a 3.5-kilometre scavenger hunt consisting of 10 stations: five main stations with a focus on teamwork, and five transitional stations that tested students' knowledge. The main activity stations featured collaborative challenges, such as the "cooperative ring" game, in which the children had to try to keep a hoop in a steady position using ropes that they handled as a team. The intermediate stations tested the students' knowledge – notably through a game that drew on their observational skills, in which they had to explore their surroundings with binoculars to try and spot hidden animals.

After they finished the scavenger hunt, the children took a break to eat lunch together and recharge. They then dived into an afternoon of games, fun activities and outdoor themed workshops designed to educate them about the importance of respecting nature and protecting the environment.
