Basar Kus is a creature with two heads, multiple arms, and several legs. We explore his many facets. From one adventure to the next, the two individuals that comprise him realise that they can be separated. We then meet Basil and Markus, a pair of individuals with countless talents. One is an acrobat and breakdancer, while the other is a juggler. They embrace their differences. As they evolve, they learn from each other, forming new, mischievous combinations. Like a child discovering its own body and identity, La Fabuleuse Histoire de BasarKus tells the universal story of growing up.
This choreographed circus act combines juggling and acrobatics to depict the quest for identity and the concept of hybridity. It moves from symbiosis to separation and individualisation. Where does my body begin and end? Who is this other person? How can I accept them? These are just some of the questions that make up this ode to self-discovery.
