Un été dans la forteresse

The certified and experienced F.F.G.L. guides (Friends of the Fortress History of Luxembourg) will let you discover equipped with your personal flash-lights hidden, hsitoric, dark and humid "LOST PLACES" under the municipal parc. We will see the old casemates belonging to FORT LAMBERT built by the french engineer Vauban in 1685

Thereafter we will walk in a 900 m long tunnel from the Pétrusse valley to Paffendall. The so-called AQUATUNNEL was carved through the hard sandstone rock 65 m deep under the city in the 1960ies and was primarly a sewage water system and possibly a location to host a (never-built) air-raid shelter during the cold war.
