Maya Likembe

Maya Likembe is the name of the band formed by Luxembourgish singer-songwriter and composer Mary-Ann Meiers. Drawing on jazz traditions, her music and vocals are also influenced by Latin, African and soul sounds. The project has thrived thanks to collaboration with musicians from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Their debut was the single Ardent Traveler, recorded in Luxembourg and the United States. They have also shared three live tracks and an interview from a Rocklabsession at the Rockhal in Belval. The latest update is the release of their EP "Spirituality is the beginning", recorded at Tritone Studios, alongside a release concert in the Pause jazz concert series at Neimënster Abbey.
