The Lament of
Orchids is an immersive and poetic art installation that takes over
urban spaces by giving voice to orchids placed on windowsills. As visitors approach
these discreet yet resilient flowers, they discover unexpected narrators,
bearers of sensitive stories combining botany, literature, introspection, and
memories of places.Throughout a journey
through the city, these orchids form a constellation of mini-gardens, veritable
altars of nature erected in the face of the turmoil of the modern world. They
sketch a link between the interior and the exterior, between the intimate and
the collective. Far from being mere ornaments, they become witnesses to
everyday life.The Lament of Orchids is a literary and audio creation that invites us to shift our gaze and listen differently. It encourages us to slow down and draws our attention to things that usually escape us. By lending their pens to these flowers, authors reveal the invisible through the power of storytelling. They revive our connection to living things, giving plants a voice and a presence.
