Włodek Pawlik returns to Luxembourg and CinEast with a unique family project! 

After exactly 10 years, world-renowned pianist and Grammy Award winner Włodek Pawlik makes his long-awaited return to Luxembourg and the CinEast Festival - this time with a deeply personal and intimate musical journey: the Pawlik & Pawlik Duo, a father-son project. 

Together with his son Łukasz Pawlik - an acclaimed cellist, composer, and winner of the Berlin Jazz & Blues Award - they create a captivating dialogue between piano and cello, blending elements of jazz, classical music, and world music. The concert offers a partly improvised and heartfelt musical conversation across generations, rooted in shared artistry and mutual inspiration. 

The programme will feature compositions by Włodek Pawlik from various albums, as well as Łukasz Pawlik’s “Reflection” from his acclaimed release “Long-Distance Connections”. Originally premiered at the Włodek Pawlik Summer Jazz Festival in 2020, the project has since performed at numerous major venues across Europe, earning rave reviews. The live recording from the debut concert was released in 2023 as an album entitled “Pawlik & Pawlik Duo”. 

For an even more unique performance in Luxembourg the Pawlik & Pawlik Duo will be joined on stage by renowned Luxembourgish drummer Jeff Herr.
