Politics, policy and administration

This year, Luxembourg's National Day coincides with the 25th anniversary of the reign of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and, ahead of the occasion, the City of Luxembourg is delighted to offer you a brief glimpse of its rich programme of festivities and musical events to mark the event. The festivities are due to kick off on Saturday, 21 June 2025 with a series of concerts in the city centre.

Festivities will continue on Sunday, 22 June with the now traditional torchlight procession, followed by a spectacular display of fireworks, which will be set off from Pont Adolphe starting at 23:00. For fans of electronic music and live concerts, Champ du Glacis will be transformed into a huge, open-air stage for this fifth edition of "City Sounds".

Several official events are planned throughout the day on Monday, 23 June, including a ceremony at the Philharmonie Luxembourg concert hall, a presentation of arms ceremony, a military parade, and a religious service (Te Deum). In the evening, to close the festivities to mark Luxembourg's National Day and the 25th anniversary of HRH The Grand Duke's reign on a musical note, the City of Luxembourg will be hosting another series of concerts in Champ du Glacis.
