Secret Compartments

In the framework of the exhibition Hot Flashes by Aline Bouvy  

This afterWORKshop invites participants to reflect on personal memories and phases of life, inspired by the themes in Aline Bouvy’s exhibition Hot Flashes.. Using matchboxes as miniature containers, we will recreate the idea of a private drawer, similar to the one you might have had as a child or teenager, to keep personal or hidden objects. 

The session will focus on questions of intimacy, identity, and self-exploration. What do we choose to keep to ourselves? What parts of our personality feel too vulnerable to share? 

Participants will customize their compartment and create small elements to place in their matchbox drawers, each representing a memory, thought, or feeling from different stages of their life.
