Sang Mat

Join us for **Sang Mat**, a special event with the "Sang a Klang" choir from Pfaffenthal. A table will be set for the choir members, who will perform traditional Luxembourgish songs. Spectators will receive song lyrics and are warmly invited to sing along.  Founded in 1857, Sang & Klang Pfaffenthal—commonly known as Sang a Klang—is a men’s choir based in the Pfaffenthal quarter of Luxembourg City. As the oldest singing association in the capital, it has been a cultural cornerstone since its inception. Since 1922, the choir has had its own building with a concert hall in Pfaffenthal, a structure proposed on April 1, 2021, to be classified as a national monument. Renowned across the country for its concerts and theatrical performances, Sang a Klang owes much of its fame to its co-founder, first conductor, and composer, Laurent Menager (1835-1902), celebrated as Luxembourg’s national composer.
