Flowers are much more than just a decorative touch on the plate – they enrich our kitchen with unique flavors, vibrant colors, and captivating scents.

In this workshop, we dive into the wonderful world of edible flowers and wild herbs:

- Which flowers and herbs are edible?
- How do their tastes vary – from delicate and sweet to spicy and savory?
- And how can they be creatively used in both sweet and savory dishes, as well as drinks?

Together, we will explore the culinary treasures that lie in gardens, meadows, and along the roadsides. From colorful flower salads to sophisticated herb dips, homemade flower lemonades, and aromatic spreads – we’ll discover a variety of ways to incorporate nature into our kitchen.

The workshop will also provide practical tips on safely identifying, sustainably harvesting, and easily processing these plants.

About the Workshop Leader:.

Joy Horsmans shares her passion for gardening and nature with a steadily growing community. It all started in 2021 when she and her husband Milli, after a relaxing evening with a few drinks, had the spontaneous idea to start a garden blog on Instagram: @jm_doheem_am_gaart. What began as a small, lovingly run project has developed into an inspiring platform that delights people with the joys of gardening, nature, and the incredible variety of edible plants.

By early 2024, the blog was still a modest hobby, but the positive response led to steady community growth.

Today, the exchange with like-minded individuals is a valuable part of her daily life – a source of inspiration for all who are passionate about gardening, nature, and sustainable living.

Now, Joy wants to pass on her enthusiasm in this workshop and show how much enjoyment and creativity can be found in edible flowers and wild herbs.

Let yourself be inspired and discover with us the culinary diversity that grows right outside your door! 🌿🌼
