ABOUT SWAMI:

Thirukkudanthai. Dr. Sri. U. Ve. Venkatesh, MBBS, CCEBDM, MBA, is a doctor by profession, who also excels in religious discourses in Sri Vaishnavism. He is the disciple of Sirupuliyur Swami of Srirangam. He has learnt traditional texts under Villur Nadadoor Sribhashya simhasanam Dr. Sri. U.Ve. Karunakarachariar Swamy. He has learnt Sama Veda under Brahmasri Subrahmanya Shastrigal. He has been delivering discourses in Vaishnavism for the past 10 years in India and abroad and also in TV channels and social media.


UPANYASAMS:

  • Got the first opportunity for Upanyasam in 2010 at the age of 20 years in the world famous Kal Garuda Seva in Nachiarkoil.
  • In 2013, he got the opportunity to perform month-long Thiruppavai discourse in Margazhi at Kumbakonam Sharngapani Temple.
  • From then on, for more than the past 15 years, he has been delivering a lot of discourses in various temples in India and abroad like Australia, New Zealand, UAE, Singapore, etc
  • He has appeared in TV channels like Star Vijay, Jaya, Polimer, Pothigai, Sri Sankara TV, etc & Youtube channels like Kavasam Konnect and Guru channel.

SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Spiritual initiation at the feet of Sirupuliyur Annan Swami of Srirangam.
  • Learnt traditional texts under Dr Karunakarachariar Swami – learnt Sribhashyam, Gita Bhashyam, Bhagavad Vishayam, Rahasya granthas, Tatparya Chandrika, Vishnu purana and other allied texts from Him.
  • Learnt Samaveda from Brahmasri Subramanya sastrigal


STYLE OF DISCOURSE:

  • Devotional infotainment – a package of devotion along with plenty of interesting data presented in an engaging style
  • Never deviates from the topic; at the same time, keeps the audience tied towards the main content in an appealing manner
  • Starts with a poem on the discourse topic composed by himself, mentioning the place of discourse and other details. That single poem will give the gist of the full discourse.
  • Discourse will be delivered in a structured manner – no introduction/poorva peetikai – starts with a list of contents to be covered, goes on to cover each one point by point, and completes with a suitable summary.
  • Filled with in-depth quotes from Upanishads, Sribhashyam, commentaries on Divya prabandham and Rahasya granthams

  • Got the title VIRIVURAI VENDHAN in 2013.
  • In 2014, Dr Karunakarachariar Swamy, gave one of his titles, Pravachana Tilakam to him.
  • Chitrakutam Dr AVR Swamy gave him the title VAISHNAVA RATNA in 2015. The youngest ever recipient of this award at 24 years of age.
  • Was awarded the title PRAVACHANA VIDYADHARA on behalf of Kottivakkam Iraipani Mandram in 2016.
  • In 2020, Los Angeles Divya Prabandham group gave him the title SRIRAMANUJA SEVASRI.
  • In 2020, Poundarikapuram Andavan Ashram Pontiff blessed him with the title PRAVACHANA RATHNA MANI.
  • In 2021, Ayyappan Bhavani Varugirar Satsangh gave him the title BHASKARA PRAVACHANA TILAKAM.

  • In 2023, Srirangam Srimad Andavan conferred the title PARASARA BHATTA DASAR to him.


ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • Has participated in more than 35 Vidwat sadas (scholarly conferences) and has spoken in Sanskrit about adhikaranams from Sribhashyam.
  • His devotional series like 1000 Namangal 1000 kathaigal, Dhinam dhorum divya prabandham are telecast everyday on TV and have gathered a lot of positive response.
  • Dinam dhorum divya prabandham is the longest running spiritual programme on TV spanning over 11 years.
