Curious about performing but not sure where to start? Looking to join a creative community and make new friends? In need of some after-work creativity and fun? Join Dig Deep for an exciting, one-hour taster workshop that explores the worlds of improv and acting. You’ll get a chance to play improv games that build confidence, creativity, and teamwork, as well as dip into acting exercises that focus on presence, character, and storytelling. Teamwork, active listening, commitment and accepting mistakes are all key when practicing improv and acting, and these skills can have positive effects in our personal and professional lives too. From complete beginners to those with some experience, everyone is welcome in this relaxed, supportive space to try something new, meet great people, and have a laugh. Stick around afterwards for a chat, a drink, and to find out more about what we do!

FAQs

1) I've never done Improv or any type of performance before, is that okay? Absolutely okay, all experience levels are welcome including those with no experience who don't even know what improv is!

2) Do I have to buy a ticket in advance? Booking in advance is strongly advised as sometimes events sell out. If you wish to show up last minute keep an eye on social media or contact us to see if places are still available.

3) What language is the workshop in? English

4) Do I have to be a native speaker or fluent? Definitely not, if you find yourself blocked by language remember you can always improvise using sounds, body language or even speak in gibberish!
