 Garden – The Art of the Ephemeral</em> is an invitation to enter the enc
 hanting world of gardens through the seasons and styles across Europe. Pho
 tographer Marianne Majerus views gardens as works of art\, where the eleme
 nts are living entities that constantly change with the seasons and the pa
 ssage of time. In her photographs\, she invites us to find beauty and comf
 ort in ephemeral moments\, where the conjunction of light\, plants\, and t
 he skill of a gardener give us glimpses of paradise. Through her lens\, we
  can feel the energy of the natural world in a constant cycle of life: the
  irresistible awakening of spring\, the exuberance of full summer\, the ge
 ntle decay of autumn\, and the return to the earth of winter. For this Lux
 embourgish artist\, cultivating our gardens\, nourishing the soil\, and su
 staining the plant and animal communities of the earth is an act of faith

 ianne Majerus is today one of the most renowned contemporary garden photog
 raphers. Before specializing in gardens\, she was a successful landscape a
 nd portrait photographer\, illustrating books on landscapes\, history\, an
 d gastronomy. Examples of her portraits are part of the collections of the
  National Portrait Gallery in London\, the Arts Council of Great Britain\,
  the National Audiovisual Centre (CNA)\, and BCEE in Luxembourg. After her
  major portrait exhibition <em>Face Outside</em> in Luxembourg and London 
 (1995)\, she began to focus on plant and garden photography\, working clos
 ely with international landscapers who have evolved garden design over rec
