#muerbelsmillen #3D Take a virtual tour of the Muerbelsmill...
Every summer since 2018, as part of a temporary placemaking project, Place du Théâtre (previously somewhat forgotten and run down) is transformed into an attractive and fun place to be.
In 2018, the main attraction was a beautifully manicured lawn area where shoppers and passers-by could spend time, play board games, relax on outdoor furniture, or take part in educational workshops staged by Young Caritas' Spillmobil. Summer 2019 saw the square transformed into a splendid urban beach between July and September.
After its resounding success last year, and now that the public-health measures allow events to be held outdoors, the "Theaterplage" will once again fill Place du Théâtre with the sights and sounds of summer! Come and soak up the sun from Saturday, 11 July to Sunday, 13 September 2020, every day between 10:00 and 22:00.
A giant, 350 m2 sandpit with deckchairs and beach umbrellas sporting the City's "multiplicity" colours, a colourful piano and a pétanque court, plus a variety of plants and fun decor with bunting and fairy lights will delight visitors of all ages. Not only that, there will be two chalets serving drinks and tasty snacks for those who are hungry.
