The design concepts shortlisted for the "Wunnquarter Stade" project as part of phase II of the urban planning competition launched in May 2019 were presented by Mayor Lydie Polfer and Chief Alderman Serge Wilmes. This project aims to redevelop the site currently occupied by the Josy Barthel Stadium and surrounding areas along Route d'Arlon, and turn it into a residential area with a high quality of life.
5 entries shortlised as part of Phase II
As part of phase II of the urban planning competition, the seven teams selected in phase I (January 2020) engaged in paid consulting sessions, during which they were given the opportunity to present their revised project to the selection committee on 31 March and 1 April 2021.
Based on feedback received as part of the civic engagement process and from the jury, the selection committee has decided to shortlist five teams for the next part of the competition. These are referenced under the following numbers:

New civic engagement process: designs on show from 27 April to 14 May 2021
The five shortlisted designs will be on show to the public from 27 April to 14 May 2021 at the Rocade building (3, rue du Laboratoire, L-1911 Luxembourg). The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday (8:00–17:00).
