Schueberfouer: 23 August–11 September

Schueberfouer 2019 présentation
Sports and leisure

On Tuesday, 2 July 2019, the college of the mayor and aldermen unveiled the poster and the main new attractions of the 2019 Schueberfouer. Luxembourg City's traditional funfair, which was founded in 1340 by John the Blind, will be open from Friday 23 August through to Wednesday 11 September on Champ du Glacis.

2019 poster: designed by Nadia Recken

In March 2017, the City launched a competition to design a poster advertising the Schueberfouer. Following the works by Lynn Cosyn (first prize – 2017) and Carole Stoltz (second prize – 2018), the image designed by Nadia Recken is being used this year to advertise the Schueberfouer in all media. The poster depicts all the beloved main attractions of the Luxembourg City funfair, with its unique blend of tradition, gastronomy, and thrills: carousel, Ferris wheel, rollercoasters, ghost train, sweets and other tasty treats.

Six major new additions

This year, six major additions will make their debut at the Schueberfouer: Crazy Clown, Techno Power, Transformer, Intoxx, Aeronaut and Alpina Bahn, the biggest portable family-friendly figure-8 roller coaster in the world.

Along with these new rides, this year's Schueberfouer features new delicious food to try, and some changes to its organisation.

In all, 250 fairground attractions, including 80 hawkers, 16 children's carousels, 13 restaurants and 16 confectionery stalls will delight visitors of all ages at the 2019 Schueberfouer.
