Our Parks Department is looking for fir trees for the Christmas season

Illustration sapin

The City's Service Parcs (Parks Department) is looking for some thirty fir trees to decorate the capital over the Christmas season.

Anyone who has a fir tree measuring between 10 and 20 metres in height, which they want to have cut down, is kindly asked to contact the Service Parcs – tel.: 4796 3423; e-mail: (with a picture of the tree in question, if need be) – by mid-July 2020. The tree should be well proportioned (dense and more or less symmetrical) and not be surrounded by other trees.

The fir trees will be cut down and taken away by the Service Parcs free of charge starting in mid-October. The trees will then be erected at various locations around the capital – such as Place d'Armes, Place de la Gare and near the Royal-Hamilius complex – to create a warm, welcoming Christmas atmosphere during the end-of-year season.
