Oath-of-enlistment ceremony

On Saturday, 16 September 2023, the public were invited to attend the Luxembourg Army's 200^th oath-of-enlistment ceremony on Place Guillaume II (Knuedler). Among those present were Luxembourg City Mayor Lydie Polfer, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence François Bausch, Deputy Chief of Defence of the Luxembourg Army Colonel Pascal Ballinger, and Commander of the Luxembourg Armed Forces Colonel Alain Schoeben.

During the ceremony, 48 volunteer recruits, who had successfully completed their basic training, took their oath of enlistment, thereby committing to upholding the Constitution and the laws of Luxembourg, complying with military regulations, and faithfully serving the Crown and the Flag throughout their military careers.
