50 free masks for residents

In light of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and following the government's decision on Monday, 4 May 2020, the City will be handing out more masks. Luxembourg City residents aged 16 and over can collect 50 additional masks upon presentation of their "bon de retrait".

Masks will be handed out from Tuesday, 26 May to Saturday, 30 May, and from Tuesday, 2 June to Saturday, 6 June 2020 inclusive at one of the nine collection points stated below. Opening hours are as follows:

Walk-in distribution points (open from 9:00 to 17:00)

  • Hall Victor Hugo (Limpertsberg): 60, avenue Victor Hugo, L-1750 Luxembourg
  • Ratskeller (Cercle Cité building) : rue du Curé, L-1368 Luxembourg
  • Bonnevoie cultural centre: 2, rue des Ardennes, L-1133 Luxembourg
  • Rotondes (Bonnevoie): place des Rotondes, L-2448 Luxembourg
  • Cents (temporary) multi-sports hall: boulevard Charles Simonis, L-2539 Luxembourg
  • Centre sociétaire Institut St. Jean (Belair): 110, avenue Gaston Diderich, L-1420 Luxembourg

Drive-in distribution points (open from 11:00 to 19:00)

  • Adenauer car park (Kirchberg): boulevard Konrad Adenauer
  • Car park of the Dommeldange multi-use sports hall: 151, rue Nicolas Hein, L-1721 Luxembourg
  • Skatepark (Hollerich): 5, rue de l’Abattoir, L-1111 Luxembourg

Masks are only given to residents aged 16 and over upon presentation of their voucher (“bon de retrait”)!

Information for vulnerable people

Vulnerable people can call the City’s helpline (4796-4796) from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 16:00. We recommend that they ask a friend or family member to collect the masks on their behalf, if possible.

Practical information

To ensure that the number of people travelling is kept to a minimum, we recommend that the masks be collected by one person per household (please bring each individual “bon de retrait”). Please follow the safety instructions on display at the distribution points.
