2019 Winterlights: chalet, stall and winter flea market

Winterlights 2018
06.11.2019
Art and culture

The traditional Christmas market will be held at Place d'Armes and Place de la Constitution from 21 November to 24 December 2019. As in previous years, the City of Luxembourg will permit associations and individuals to hire a chalet or book a stall at its various markets.

Charity market at the Roude Pëtz

This four-chalet market is reserved for charitable associations, giving them the opportunity to raise awareness of their cause, promote their activities, sell related products and raise funds. There will also be a carousel for kids to enjoy. The charity market will be held from 22 November to 23 December (11:00–18:00) on Grand-Rue, near the Roude Pëtz. The chalets are available for hire at €15 a day.

Chalets reserved for craftspeople

At the Place d'Armes Christmas market, four chalets will be reserved exclusively for private individuals who wish to sell their handmade goods and artistic creations (jewellery, knitwear, decorations, etc.). Since it is often difficult for craftspeople, artists and private individuals to man their booths for the entire duration of the market, the City of Luxembourg offers a scheme whereby chalets can be hired for two or more days, depending on availability. The chalets are available for hire at €25 a day.

Winter flea market and second-hand market for children's clothes and toys on 30 November

The City of Luxembourg will be hosting a winter flea market and second-hand market at the Victor Hugo Hall (60, avenue Victor Hugo, L-1750 Luxembourg-Limpertsberg) on Saturday, 30 November from 9:00–17:00. Private individuals will be able to sell used children's clothes and toys, along with other household items that they no longer need and wish to give a new home. Entry is free. Each spot is 4 m by 2.50 m (table and two benches are provided; only one spot per person).
