Project description

The City of Luxembourg will be carrying out road works in Bonnevoie-Nord/Verlorenkost on Rue Lavoisier, Rue Auguste Lumière, Rue Charles Calmette, Rue Emile Mayrisch, Rue Pierre de Coubertin, Rue Aloyse Meyer and Boulevard Gustave Jacquemart.

These works are being done in cooperation with:

  • Service Voirie (Department of Streets)
  • Service Canalisation (Sewer Department)
  • Service Énergie (Energy Department)
  • Service Eaux (Water Department)
  • Service Éclairage public (Public Lighting Department)
  • Service TIC (ICT Department)
  • Creos Luxembourg SA - Electricité
  • Creos Luxembourg SA – Gaz (BP)

Works schedule

Commencement of work: summer of 2022

Expected duration of the works: 500 working days

Planned completion: winter of 2024

Traffic information

What is the current traffic situation?

For vehicular traffic:

Road closures (except for residents) on Boulevard Jacquemart and Rue Coubertin, Rue Lumière, Rue Mayrisch, Rue Meyer and Rue Calmette. Two-way traffic reduced to a 6m-roadway on Rue Lavoisier

For businesses and deliveries:

The City of Luxembourg will try to ensure access for deliveries to local businesses throughout the duration of the works.

For public transport users:

Bus lines 7 and 27 subject to diversions.

Stay informed

To make life easier for residents while these works are being carried out, the City of Luxembourg has implemented a series of measures, including the option to participate in meetings regarding the progress of the work. Residents affected by the works may participate in these meetings to obtain additional information about the project's progress and present any complaints they may have.
