The Shuttle Gare will be launched on 3 November 2019. This new free bus line will serve stops on the main thoroughfares in the Gare district, connecting this neighbourhood using a circular, one-way route, which includes the stops "Gare Centrale Quai 7", "Al Avenue Quai 1", "Fortuna", "Spuerkeess", "Paris-Zitha" and "Al Avenue Quai 2". The service will operate Monday to Friday from 5:00 to 23:00, as well as on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 to 23:00.
This shuttle is being launched as part of the reorganisation of the transport network in view of the upcoming road works for the construction of the new section of the tram line. The Shuttle Gare will provide passengers with easy access to the Gare district until the new tram line begins operating between "Stäreplaz/Etoile" and Luxembourg Central Station in late 2020.
With this new shuttle, the City intends to improve public transport connections in the Gare district to better serve the needs of the elderly and people with reduced mobility, as well as to respond to concerns from local businesses.
