Catered to all accessibility needs

The Promenade UNESCO tour will take you through a natural environment that features the majestic remains of the city's fortifications and Old Town, which have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1994. You will learn about the important role the city plays in European history. Departing from Place de la Constitution, the tour takes visitors directly past the city's old fortifications in the Pétrusse Valley, continues along the Corniche ("Europe's most beautiful balcony") and past the ramparts, and then through the Old Town.

Management of UNESCO World Heritage

Catered to all accessibility needs

Management of UNESCO World Heritage in Luxembourg. On this tour, visitors will learn what the Luxembourg government and the City of Luxembourg are doing to preserve the authenticity and integrity of a site of outstanding universal value: the UNESCO world cultural heritage site listed as "Luxembourg City: Its Old Quarters and Fortifications". The tour also includes a stop at the UNESCO Visitor Center in the Lëtzebuerg City Museum. The aim of the tour is to explain what criteria were considered in selecting Luxembourg City as a World Heritage site, draw attention to the city's historic urban landscape, and point out features that would enable participants to identify the protected areas.
