At its meeting on 1 July 2019, the municipal council gave its approval to the ad-hoc amendments to the written and graphic components of the general development plan (plan d'aménagement général – PAG).
In accordance with Article 12 of the law of 19 July 2004 (as amended) on municipal planning and urban development (loi modifiée du 19 juillet 2004 concernant l'aménagement communal et le développement urbain), the proposed amendments to the written and graphic components of the PAG have been filed with City Hall, where they will be available for review by members of the public for a full 30 days, starting from 4 July 2019.
Pursuant to Article 12 of the law of 19 July 2004 (as amended) on municipal planning and urban development, a public information meeting will be held by the college of the mayor and aldermen at 17:30 on 11 July 2019 at City Hall, Place Guillaume II, to present the proposed amendments to the general development plan. Only the documents filed with City Hall are binding.
In accordance with Article 13 of the law of 19 July 2004 (as amended) on municipal planning and urban development, comments on and objections to the proposed amendments must be submitted in writing to the college of the mayor and aldermen within 30 days of this disclosure of the filing of the proposed amendments. Beyond that time, they will not be receivable.
Considering that no significant repercussions on the environment are anticipated in connection with the proposed amendments, the municipal council believes that an environmental assessment in accordance with the law of 22 May 2008 (as amended) on the assessment of the environmental impact of certain schemes and programmes (loi modifiée du 22 mai 2008 relative à l'évaluation des incidences de certains plans et programmes sur l'environnement) is not required, and as such, follows the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development.
In accordance with the aforementioned legislation on environmental assessments, comments and suggestions relating to the decision determining that there is no need to perform an environmental assessment must be submitted in writing to the college of the mayor and aldermen within 45 days of this disclosure of the filing of the proposed amendments, or will not be receivable.
